Disaster Aid

Disaster Aid Australia is a volunteer-based charity that operates in two program areas: response to event-based disasters such as hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, and tsunamis; and responding to the ongoing disaster of no access to safe drinking water in developing countries. The charity was founded by the Rotary Club of Endeavour Hills.

Group Study Exchange (GSE)

The Group Study Exchange Program (GSE) is a unique cultural and vocational exchange opportunity for young business and professional people in the early years of their professional lives. The program provides for teams to exchange visits of approximately 4 weeks between paired areas in different countries.

Interplast volunteers repair bodies and rebuild lives by providing free surgical and medical treatment to people in developing countries of the Asia Pacific Region who are living with a disability as a result of a congenital or acquired condition. Treatment targets those in need who would otherwise not be able to afford access to services.

As well as restoring dignity to the children, Australian surgeons and medical staff gain valuable experience in treating these severe cases that they would rarely see.

Rotary Friendship Exchange

This committee runs the RFE program. Through Rotary Friendship Exchanges, Rotary members learn about another culture by taking turns hosting and visiting one another. This committee encourages members to participate in exchanges. Participants may travel as individuals, couples, families, or groups, and may be Rotary members or not.

Shelterbox

Provides emergency shelter and vital aid to communities overwhelmed by disaster and humanitarian crisis. Sponsoring a ShelterBox costs $1,000, including delivery. Each box bears its own unique number so as a donor you can track your box via the website. Trained ShelterBox Response Teams distribute boxes on the ground, working closely with local organisations, international aid agencies and Rotary clubs worldwide.
