Vocational Service Projects Coordinator
To encourage and foster high ethical standards in business and professions, to recognise the worthiness of all useful occupations and to dignify each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society. Paul Harris wrote: “Each Rotarian is a connecting link between the idealism of Rotary and their trade or profession”.
New Generations Service Exchange
The Rotary New Generations Service Exchange is a customizable short term program which provides uni students and employees up to age 30 with the chance to experience career opportunities overseas. Planned activities can include networking, humanitarian service, professional development, and leadership skills.
NSW Police Awards
The Rotary Police Officer of the Year Awards is the most prestigious event on the NSW Police Force calendar. The awards allow the force’s best to shine and be acknowledged for their professional excellence and dedication. Presentation night is usually in Sydney in November, and nominations are due in August.
Pride of Workmanship
The Pride of Workmanship Program enables managers to help employees achieve the goal of job satisfaction, and publicly recognise them for their efforts. Participating businesses promote the Pride of Workmanship theme of “Do it once – do it well”, and nominate employees worthy of recognition.
Rotary Emergency Services Awards (RESCA)
RESCA acknowledges and celebrates the selfless community service of Emergency Services Personnel whilst also supporting and funding two important Rotary initiatives: Australian Rotary Health – PhD Research Scholarship investigating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in Emergency Services Personnel; and Emergency and Disaster Preparedness training in the Asia/Pacific Region.
Rotary Inspirational Women Awards
The NSW Rotary Inspirational Women’s Awards are an initiative co-ordinated by female Rotary members of the Greater Sydney and Illawarra Clubs, who wanted to acknowledge and celebrate community service performed by women through their vocations, their skills, and their time in their various activities and endeavours. It is to celebrate the “quiet achievers”.
